As indicated by the old and loved custom, Hemadpant starts the work, Sai Satcharitra, with different welcome.

To start with, he makes respect to the God Ganesha to eliminate all deterrents and make the work a triumph and says that Shri Sai is the God Ganesha.

Then, at that point, to the Goddess Saraswati to rouse him to work out the work and says that Shri Sai is unified with this Goddess and that He is Himself singing His own life.

Then, at that point, to his granddad Sadashiv, father Raghunath, his mom, who left him in his early stages, to his fatherly auntie, who brought him up, and to his caring senior sibling.

Then, to the perusers and implores them to intently focus on his work. Also, in conclusion, to his Master Shri Sainath - a Manifestation of Shri Dattatreya, Who is his only Asylum and Who will cause him to understand that Brahman is the Truth and the world a deception; and it just so happens, to every one of the Creatures in whom the Ruler God abides.

Subsequent to depicting in a nutshell the different methods of dedication as per Parashara, Vyasa and Shandilya and so forth, the creator proceeds to relate the accompanying story:

"It was after 1910 A.D. that I went, one fine morning, to the Masjid in Shirdi for getting a darshan of Sai Baba. I was wonder-struck to see the accompanying peculiarity. In the wake of cleaning up, Sai Baba started to get ready for crushing wheat. He spread a sack on the floor; and consequently set a hand-plant. He took some amount of wheat in a winnowing fan, and afterward drawing up the sleeves of His Kafni (robe); and grabbing hold of the stake of the hand-plant, began crushing the wheat by placing a couple of modest bunches of wheat in the upper opening of the factory and pivoted it. I thought 'what business Baba had with the crushing of wheat, when He didn't have anything and put away nothing, and as He lived on contributions!' Certain individuals who had come there
thought in like manner, however none dared to ask baba what He was doing. Right away, this fresh insight about Baba's crushing wheat spread into the town, and immediately people hurried to the Masjid and ran there to see Baba's demonstration. Four strong ladies, from the group, constrained their direction up and shoved Baba to the side, took effectively the stake or handle into their hands, and, singing Baba's Leelas, began crushing. At first Baba was angered, yet on seeing the ladies' affection and commitment, He was greatly satisfied and started to grin. While they were crushing, they started to believe that Baba had no house, no property, no youngsters, none to care for, and He resided on charity, He required no wheat-flour for making bread or roti, how will He manage this large amount of flour? Maybe as Baba is extremely kind, He will appropriate the flour among us. Thinking in this manner while singing, they completed the crushing and subsequent to setting the hand-factory to the side, they separated the flour into four divides and started to eliminate them one for each head. Baba, Who was quiet and calm up till currently, kicked wild and off mishandling them saying, "Women, would you say you are gone distraught? Whose father's property would you say you are plundering endlessly? Have I acquired any wheat from you, so you can securely take the flour? Presently kindly do this. Take the flour and toss it on the town line limits." On hearing this, the ladies felt abashed and murmuring among them, disappeared to the edges of the town and spread the flour as coordinated by Baba.

I asked the Shirdi public - "What was this that Baba did?" They answered that as the Cholera Pandemic was spreading in the town and this was Baba's cure against something very similar; it was not wheat that was ground yet the actual Cholera was ground to pieces and pushed out of the town. From this time ahead, the Cholera Pestilence died down and individuals of the town were cheerful. I was quite satisfied to know this; and yet my interest was likewise stirred. I started to ask myself - What natural association was there between wheat flour and Cholera? What was the easygoing connection between the two? Also, how to accommodate them? The occurrence is by all accounts peculiar. I ought to compose something on this and sing however much I might want Baba's sweet Leelas. Thinking in this manner about this Leela, my heart was overflowing with satisfaction and I was hence enlivened to compose Baba's Life - The Satcharita.

Furthermore, as we probably are aware, with Baba's effortlessness and it was effectively achieved to favor this work.

Philosophical Meaning of Crushing:

Aside from the implying that individuals of Shirdi put on this occurrence of crushing wheat, there is, we think, a philosophical importance as well. Sai Baba lived in Shirdi for around sixty years and during this significant stretch; He did the matter of crushing consistently - not, nonetheless, the wheat alone; however the transgressions, the psychological and actual difficulties and the agonies of His countless fans. The two stones of His factory comprised of Karma and Bhakti, the previous being the lower and the last the upper one. The handle with which Baba worked the factory comprised of Jnana. It was the firm feeling of Baba that Information or Self-acknowledgment is unimaginable, except if there is the earlier demonstration of crushing of every one of our motivations, wants, sins; and of the three gunas, viz. Sattva, Raja and Tama; and the Ahamkara, which is so unobtrusive and thusly so challenging to be disposed of.

This helps us to remember a comparable story of Kabir who seeing a lady crushing corn shared with his Master, Nipathiranjana, "I'm sobbing since I feel the misery of being squashed in this wheel of common presence like the corn in the hand-factory." Nipathiranjana answered, "Don't be apprehensive; cling tightly to the handle of information on this plant, as I endlessly don't meander far away from the equivalent however go internal to the Middle, and you make certain to be saved."

Bow to Shri Sai - - Harmony be to all
